Welcome to Dunstable Good Neighbours!
Dunstable Good Neighbours officially launched on 1 December 2016. Our MP Andrew Selous (5th from L-R) joined us on the launch night to wish us luck!
CHANGES TO OUR SERVICE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
Our volunteers have been asked to continue their befriending by telephone or by use of smart apps instead of visiting in person. We will be following any advice set out by the NHS and Government.
We would like to encourage anyone in Dunstable to phone us on 07491 455777 if they require help with shopping or collection of prescriptions.
We would like to encourage anyone in Dunstable who wishes to volunteer to contact us (Dunstablegoodneighbours@yahoo.com)
WHO WE ARE
Dunstable Good Neighbours is a voluntary organisation, aiming to provide help to local residents in
need. Good Neighbour schemes are volunteer groups set up and run by local residents to provide a
'safety net' for their village or town, helping fellow residents.
We may be able to provide short term help such as small practical tasks around the house,
assistance with form filling, occasional lifts to the doctors, shops etc, or friendly visits to those who
are lonely or isolated.
Call our helpline number on 07491 455777 between 9am and 5pm. If we don’t answer leave a
voicemail and we will call you back.
Dunstable Good Neighbours is supported by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity.
